13th Annual St. Patricks Weekend Invitational Basketball Tournament 2012 March 9th thru 11th
You are cordially invited to participate in the 11th Annual St. Patrick’s Weekend Invitational Basketball Tournament to be held on March 9th through March 11th for 4th thru 8th boys.
Pool Play : guaranteed three (3) games
Tie breakers: 1. Head to head
Fewest points allowed in total games
Coin toss
Individual awards (limit 12) to the champion and the runner-up teams.
Teams should be present 15 minutes prior to scheduled game time. A forfeit of any Tournament game will result in elimination from the Tournament, except for highly unusual circumstances as determined by the Tournament Committee.
A team must have five (5) players to start a game. All players must wear matching shirts with numbers. Two coaches and one scorekeeper will be allowed on the bench. All defenses are allowed 6th thru 8th level.
No pressing or zone defenses in the 4th & 5th grade divisions except for the last two minutes of each half and overtime. When playing man-to-man defense, double teaming is allowed inside the three-point arc. No pressing if a team is ahead by 15 points or more in any division. Also the 28.5 size ball will be used.
Two (2) sixteen minute halves, 2 minute overtime periods.
Running time except for foul shooting and time outs. The clock will stop on all whistles in the last two minutes of each half and in overtime. Each team will be allowed two (2) timeouts per half (non-accumulative). For each overtime period, there will be one timeout awarded (non-accumulative).
Five (5) personal fouls allowed per player. Shoot 1 & 1 on the seventh (7th) foul of the half. Shoot two shots on the tenth (10th) foul of the half. Second half fouls accumulate through overtime(s).
One technical foul on the coach or bench will require that the coaches remain seated for the duration of that game. Two technical fouls on a player or coach will result in ejection from the game and the following game.
A jump ball will start each game and any overtime periods. The “alternating arrow” will determine all other possession situations.

Adults: $3.00 per game (weekend pass - $7.00)
Students: $1.00 per game
Children under six are admitted FREE
No fan basketballs are allowed in any of the gyms. Only standard squeeze type water bottles are allowed on the bench. No Gatorade, soda or jugs of water are allowed.
